From Garden Glows to Full-scale Projects: Expert Electricians for your Residential, Commercial, and Design Needs! Thorough EICR Electrical Testing By Experienced Professionals

Electrical Installation Condition Report tests, sometimes called ‘fixed/hard wire tests’ or ‘periodic inspections’, are inspections of all the home electrical wiring installation and systems in a property.

In most residential properties, a residential EICR must be conducted by a qualified electrician at least every 5 years or when the tenancy changes. If you have a swimming pool, it must be done once a year.

KG Electricals’ team of local electricians has decades of experience conducting rigorous residential EICR tests on a wide range of properties. Working efficiently and with meticulous attention to detail, we ensure all electrical installations in your home are completely safe and reliable.

Our impeccable technical, design and lighting knowledge means we can deliver complex, intricate, and unique requests. Whether it’s a listed building, a bespoke new build home, or a boutique hotel, we think outside the box to find innovative and sophisticated solutions that last.
NICEIC approved and fully accredited by CHAS and Trustmark, our team of electricians pay meticulous attention to detail and delivers every project seamlessly.

Frequently Asked Questions

After your test, our electrician will write a thorough report that details any damages, defects, and unsafe fixtures or fittings in your home. Damage for each fixture is ranked with a coding system:

C1 – Danger present. Risk of injury. Immediate remedial action required.

C2 – Potentially dangerous. Urgent remedial action required.

FI – Further checks required without delay.

C3 – Improvement recommended.

If your EICR report has C1, C2 or FI damage, you’ll need to carry out electrical remedial work as soon as possible. For tenanted properties you will have 28 days from receipt of an unsatisfactory EICR to repair all issues raised as per the landlord/tenants regulations.

Our team will guide you through the exact steps you need to take to keep your family and tenants safe.
